Second try at gouache, again for a school project. I saw a photo of this in a National Geographic and just had to try painting it. I think I'm mostly satisfied with it overall, even though it was a bit finicky at times.

I had to scan it in 4 parts, so it looks a bit choppy in places and is missing a bit off all sides. I may take a picture of it to upload later, but probably not. A bunch of white specks also appeared for some reason when I scanned it...

Windsor & Newton gouache on illustration board.

(I hope I'm spelling gouache right)

Holy crap.

The tail absolutely BLOWS my mind! The line on the tail is.. wow. Too perfect. It's gorgeous. The whole thing is gorgeous!
I would really like to see it in 'real' life.
